The 2021 Cherokee takes the #6 position in its class of small SUVs, which is no easy feat. The Cherokee rightfully earns its impressive ratings with a variety of features, including available engines for more power. The Cherokee has some changes in 2021 that drivers will want to consider when setting out to buy a new Jeep. This year, the Cherokee includes more safety technology and standard conveniences across all Cherokee trims. More safety aids that were available as add-ons in the past are now standard. Two new editions debut this year too, including the Lux edition and the special 80th Anniversary edition. The Jeep Cherokee stands out with more performance capabilities, a better interior, and more user-friendly technology than the 2021 Nissan Rogue, which is a main competitor. Through an online test drive of the 2021 Jeep Cherokee at Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM Brunswick, you can get a very realistic sense of the Jeep’s amenities.

Interior Design

A Jeep Cherokee online test drive, available at Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM Brunswick, is an opportune way to find out more about the Cherokee’s interior while avoiding lines at the dealership. There are five trims of the Jeep Cherokee in 2021 compared to just four trim levels offered on the Nissan Rogue. The first trim, called the Latitude, includes smartphone integration. Apple CarPlay is added to the seven-inch infotainment system, as is Android Auto. Split-folding seats are a handy convenience. Some safety aids are included on the Latitude too, including forward collision mitigation, blind-spot monitoring, and lane-keep assist. The Latitude Plus adds keyless entry and a push-button start. It gets USB ports in the back row along with more safety technology. The Lux, a new trim, has leather seats and the Trailhawk upgrades to an 8.4-inch touchscreen. The Limited gets some additional interior amenities such as a panoramic sunroof and dual-zone climate control. It has a nine-speaker sound system and gets some more safety tools. While the Nissan Rogue has some of the same features, it only offers a panoramic sunroof through a package. Some safety technology that the Jeep includes are also only available as add-on accessories if you get the Nissan Rogue.

The Jeep Cherokee excels in performance. The Jeep has a standard engine with four cylinders. This engine, which has a 2.4L capacity, suffices for daily driving and light towing with up to 180 HP for maximum power, which is matched by 171 LB-FT in torque. The base engine has a nine-speed transmission. You can get on-demand four wheel drive as well. Starting with the Lux trim you can choose between two engines. One is a V6 with an increased power output of 271 HP. The second is a turbo four-cylinder that delivers 270 HP and just under 300 LB-FT in torque. The Nissan Rogue only has one engine for the lineup. The Nissan’s engine reaches 181 HP at most and 181 LB-FT of torque. The Jeep’s higher power and torque capabilities also make it ideal for towing.

The 2021 Cherokee has distinguished styling, as you’ll have the chance to see even more through a Jeep Cherokee online test drive through our dealership. You can spot a Jeep in the crowd from a mile away, and for good reason. The Cherokee has roof rails, alloy wheels, and rain-sensing wipers to start. It adds all-terrain tires and fog lights on higher trims. The Limited has its own 18-inch wheels. The Nissan Rogue does not come with roof rails. You have to add roof rails separately, and it doesn’t offer all-terrain tires to conquer the trails.
